NWPEDC Now Accepting Workshop Proposals – Deadline July 31, 2014
This year, seventeen leading municipalities, Multnomah, Clackamas, Clark and Washington Counties; Cities of Portland, Hillsboro, and Beaverton, Metro, the Portland Development Commission, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Home Forward, Portland Public Schools, Port of Portland, the Oregon Lottery®, TriMet, Oregon Health Authority and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue have combined resources to present this one-day conference on October 14, 2014 at the Oregon Convention Center.
Our Equitable Future: Equity + Diversity = Inclusion is this year’s theme.
This collaboration offers a unique opportunity to cross diverse boundaries in pursuit of a common purpose that promotes the values of inclusion, culturally responsive service, and equal opportunity. To achieve these goals, we are seeking workshops and presentations that will augment and strengthen our common purpose.
Who will attend: Public employees at all organizational levels including line employees, technicians, managers and executives.
Presenter Information: The conference is seeking presenters and facilitators to conduct workshops during two (2) 90-minute morning sessions and one (1) 2-hour afternoon session.
As our conference continues to expand we welcome new ideas and innovations to enhance public service. In your proposal please outline what contemporary learning techniques will be used to engage conference attendees to actively participate throughout each workshop or forum.

All proposals will be reviewed by a panel of conference planning committee members and you may be contacted by one with further questions about your proposal. You will be notified by email if you are selected to present at the conference.
The conference will also provide selected presenters a complimentary pass to the conference luncheon and keynote address, as well as access to the full day of activities at the conference. All presenters will receive recognition for their contributions. We thank you for helping us to make this conference the best yet.
